QI BALANCE

Qi Balance was born out of my desire to provide a more wholistic approach to treatment of pets in my community and surrounding areas.
It is also an ambition to work together with my local veterinary community to provide another form of treatment so that we together can provide the best possible care for your pets.
I would call myself a citizen of the world being Swedish by birth but having lived all over including Switzerland, the United States, Australia, United Kingdom and Sweden. I was first introduced to acupuncture in my early teens when I was living in the US and it was used to enhance performance and well-being in my competition horse. Already then I found it fascinating. I have also suffered from migraines and cervical stiffness since a very young age and have found that TCM has helped me tremendously. So as a veterinarian I was very interested in learning how I could use TCMV to help my patients.
I graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in 2016 and spent my first two years working in Equine Referral hospitals in the UK and Kentucky. During this time I had the pleasure of learning from outstanding surgeons and sport horse medicine specialists. I then changed paths slightly and started working in small animal (cats and dogs) referral hospitals dealing mainly with emergency medicine and finally ending up in a small clinic working as a general practitioner.
I received my certification in acupuncture in 2021 and am currently working towards additional certifications in Herbal Medicine and Food Therapy. My goal is to give my patients a wholistic treatment. As mentioned, I believe that acupuncture and TCVM can have an immense benefit for our pets and I look forward to helping my patients be healthier and more balanced.
